Tasty Oatmeal Cookies

So last night, around midnight or so, I thought it would be a good idea to make cookies with Pete. I found this easy cookie recipe and they came out pretty much perfect! I would have enjoyed them more last night but I ate waaaay to much of the dough while they were baking. Figures.

Tasty Oatmeal Cookies

2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup chocolate chips

Sift flour, baking powder, and baking soda together. In another bowl mix butter, oil, and the sugars till smooth. Then beat in the eggs, one at a time. Then add in the dry ingredients. Once that's mixed, add oats and chocolate! Cook at 350 for about 12 minutes. THEN INSTANT YUMMY COOKIES.

When we put the cookies on the cookie sheet, we got kind of out of control and made huge piles of dough.

When cooked, they exploded into huge cookies! But they were perfectly cooked through and weren't crispy on the edges at all!

Also, ed thought it'd be cool to crumple up one and put it into a beer bottle and chug it. Thus this:

also, cookies make for a fast, quick breakfast when you think it's a good idea to screen print at 8am.
